Seth made an impressive debut in the Club100 Sprint championship, qualifying comfortably for the Lightweight A-final at Buckmore Park after a great performance in the heats, including a 3rd place in his first ever Club100 sprint race. The day was marked by cold and rainy conditions throughout - Buckmore's usual February recipe - presenting a real challenge to drivers like Seth with limited experience of slick tyres in the wet. He nevertheless looked confident all day, taking a 3rd (from grid 7), an 8th and a 6th in his three 14-kart heats. "My aim for the day had been to get into the A-final", said Seth, "and I managed that quite easily though of course I'd have liked higher than 17th". A multiple kart incident coming down the hill on lap 1 of the A-final unfortunately spoiled the race as Seth was pushed into a spin - his first all day - but he made up good ground over the rest of the race in the close company of Club100 regular James Akehurst. The pair clashed on the last lap, leaving Seth down in 22nd overall (from a full LW field of 42). He was disappointed by the final result but encouraged by his overall pace in the difficult conditions. "I'm praying for dry weather for round 2 at Whilton Mill" said Seth, "and if we get it I think I can realistically aim for a top ten result".
