Lee Kemp has now been confirmed as 2009 LW Club100 Karting Champion!
Lee was racing at the welsh Karting Track Llandow at the weekend (25/25th Sept 09)
After dominating the 3 qualifying heats, Lee put his Kart on Pole for the 12 lap final.
Kemp got a good start, but going into turn 4 Richard Higham (grid 2) made a lunge and put kemp on the grass, Kemps Kart just about managed to keep running and he came back onto the circuit in 6th place.
After putting in some fast laps Kemp managed to get back into 3rd place behind the very fast Dan Gore, by this time Higham had pulled out a massive lead.......
Kemp bought his Kart home 3rd on the track, but due to the contact that he made with Kemp on the opening lap, Higham was docked and this ment Kemp was gifted 2nd place, enough to win the 2009 LW Club100 Championship, with 3 rounds still left of the Season Kemp can now take it easy and enjoy the last few races as the Champion!! |
